Rebuilding the Spiritual Tabernacle of David

Amos 9:11

"In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:"

In order to cover and understand the significance of these words of God we must study into the meaning of God's tabernacle, as listed in the bible.

We know the tabernacle is the place where God dwells. Every time the tabernacle is listed in scripture it contains three main compartments: Outer Court, Holy Place, and Holy of Holies. Every time we see the tabernacle used we see a unique significance relating to both our personal and national life. The tabernacle of David had only one tent for the Holy of Holies, Mt. Zion was the Holy Place (where the tabernacle was stationed), and Jerusalem was the outer court (the surrounding city).

We know God also made us three part beings to do the same work in our personal lives as well as in our city around us:

1Cor. 6:19 "What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which you have of God and is not your own?"

We all know we are three part beings as 1Thes 5:23 tells us to sanctify all three parts of our being:

1Thes 5:23 "And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole (1)spirit and (2)soul and (3)body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ."

We know scripture says our bodies are the tabernacle of the Holy Spirit. The Tabernacle of Moses had three compartments, The Lord told Moses it was a pattern of things in the heaven(s), and in the new testament we're told they were "figures of the true heavens" Heb 9:24.

There is much deep truth found wrapped up in the study of the tabernacles of God. Scripture will always show us a great pattern any time we study its exact characteristics. For example the lighting of the candle stick in the holy place symbolizing the need for God's light of truth in our minds to be lit daily.

I couldn't fit all the truth wrapped up on this subject if I wrote a whole book on it. God and His word is so full of His wonderful power.

O how we need another rebuilding and recharging of the Tabernacle of David! I remind all readers that the time of the Tabernacle of David was the time of Kingdom Rule. God's law was the constitution of the land. We're promised that God's law will again return to be the constitution of the land when Christ comes with His saints in glory. Even Egypt is punished for not obeying the feast of Tabernacles as we read in

Zech 14:19 "This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles."

We know this is a very rebellious Aryan sect that will remain pure until the coming of our King Jesus. God's law will be the constitution of the whole earth. According to God's law, even all foreigners will be returned to their homelands:

Jer 12:15 "And it shall come to pass, after that I have plucked them out I will return, and have compassion on them, and will bring them again, every man to his heritage, and every man to his land."

The race of Adam would be restored back to harmony and dominion over all that moveth upon the earth. Before the fall of Adam he had no problem subduing and ruling over all the BI-legged creatures as God prescribed in His divine law (Gen. 1:28).

In connecting back to our covenant God we are to act as sons of the most high, higher than original Adam. As we read, we have it of God and not of ourselves. Look at the tabernacle of David that is being rebuilt in this day of bible prophecy fulfillment. It has emphasis on the one compartment consisting of the Holy of Holies, or emphasis on spiritual part of man, or at a national level with God as the focus of Jerusalem (in any Hebrew dictionary it says Jerusalem means city of peace). We know scripture says the "cities of God would be spread abroad" Zach 1:17. Only within our high Christian culture do we ever see any cities of peace. During this dark time of the great falling away from the truth we know that the light only gets brighter. As we continue to enforce God's law in our personal lives we will always continue to see the effects in our cities and across the nation.

We are all multifaceted tabernacles of God. Even before we were given the gift of the Holy Spirit, Satan's messengers were restrained from cursing us. God made one great Baal priest turn his curse into a blessing saying:

Num 24:5 "How goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, and thy tabernacles, O Israel!"

Those of us who choose to be a tabernacle for God will be counted in this same number. We must claim the blood of Jesus Christ in our lives daily. No curses can cross the bloodline and this is our key to victory:

Rev 12:11 "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death."

As we continue to quench not the Holy Spirit but invite Him into our lives daily we will live as tabernacles of David. You must make your home upon Mt. Zion which lies within the city of peace.

Isa 58:12 "And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in."

Each one of us are personal channels of God to earth; love channels. We're the light of the world, the salt of the earth, and no weapon formed against us shall prosper for our righteousness is of The Lord Jesus. (Isa 54:17) We have His Righteousness, and the Holy Spirit resident within us, what a calling! We are all victorious sons of God, sons of the creator of the universe and we are filled with the power and ability to do anything God has in store for us to do. We must all daily confess our sins as fallen creatures that we may be justified to boldly service our God before the throne of Grace. We must not get hung up on the small shortcomings but quickly put all problems under the blood of Jesus Christ and get right back to work for Him; we have way too much work to do!

Praise THE LORD we are promised to be rebuilders of the spiritual Tabernacle of David in this day. We are to exercise Kingdom Living and be Great Lights shining to a dark world. As the world is also progressively getting more evil and darker we saints are growing brighter. The Kingdom of Light is building just as much as the Kingdom of Darkness is building in this day. Satan and his minions will never be allowed to do their thing until the Lord has a people ready to do His thing. Separating, preserving, and rebuilding the Kingdom lifestyle into our culture around us guarantees us the success.
